Ah, Route 66!

The ultimate joyride, stretching a dazzling 2,448 miles from the Windy City to the City of Angels! This legendary highway isn’t just a collection of blacktop and asphalt – it’s a shiny ribbon of American adventure, also known as "The Mother Road”, thanks to John Steinbeck. It’s also a canvas for our wildest dreams and road trip tunes!

Established on November 11, 1926, this road was the go-to route for countless explorers seeking freedom and fantastic roadside diners. Who could forget the nostalgia of “Main Street of America”? Or its new moniker, “America’s Lost Highway”?

While some segments have faded into the sunset, a whopping 85% of the original Route 66 is still open for business! So, buckle up for a thrilling ride through history, especially that delightful stretch winding through Staunton, Illinois – our very own hometown gem!

Every year at the Lost Highway Music Festival we celebrate the spirit of Route 66 the way it was meant to be celebrated, by cranking up the tunes, rolling down the windows, and gathering together for some good ol’ fashioned fun.
